Rapid determination of moisture content of cut tobacco by halogen moisture meter

The moisture content of cut tobacco was quickly measured by halogen moisture meter, and the results were compared with that of oven method. The effects of sample quality, heating temperature and heating time on the moisture content of cut tobacco were studied. The experimental results showed that the best detection conditions of halogen moisture meter method were as follows: sample quality of 7 pieces (4.300 10%) g, heating temperature of 125℃ and heating time of 5 min. There was no obvious difference between halogen moisture meter method and oven method in independent sample T test, which could meet the production requirements.
